The Ministry of Social Policy changes its name and expands its scope of responsibilities

On July 21, 2025, the Government adopted a decision to rename the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine to the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity of Ukraine.

It was also decided to merge the Ministry of National Unity into the reorganized body.

From now on, the responsibilities of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity will also include the formation and implementation of state policy on national unity and the protection of the rights of Ukrainians abroad.

As part of the reorganization, over UAH 289 million in budgetary allocations have been transferred to the Ministry of Social Policy, Family, and Unity.

These changes are part of the government reform aimed at improving the effectiveness of state policy in the social sphere.
