100 More Communities to Open Resilience Centers This Year: Ministry of Social Policy Launches New Call for Applications
27/02/2025
From March 3 to March 12, communities across Ukraine can apply to join the Ministry of Social Policy’s selection process and establish a Resilience Center — a safe and inclusive space where people can access psychosocial support.
Why is this important for communities?
More than 200 communities in 23 regions of Ukraine have already joined the project, opening Resilience Centers that help residents manage stress and the challenges of war. Others are preparing to launch. The demand for such support is growing steadily, as more Ukrainians seek professional help to rebuild their inner strength and connect with others.
“For many, Resilience Centers have become a place to process stress, regain emotional balance, and return to active life. We want even more communities to have this opportunity — that’s why we are opening a new round of selection. The state budget already includes funding that will allow us to select up to 100 additional communities this year where Ukrainians can access high-quality psychosocial support free of charge,” said Ukraine’s Minister of Social Policy, Oksana Zholnovych.
What does this offer communities?
Every resident of a participating community will gain access to professional support from psychologists and social service providers. The Resilience Center will also serve as a vital hub within the local social infrastructure, fostering volunteer initiatives and strengthening community bonds. The government covers team salaries and ensures stable operation of the Center.
How to join the project?
To open a Resilience Center, communities must provide premises that meet accessibility standards and commit to covering operational and maintenance costs. The state will fund staffing and provide materials needed to deliver resilience-building services.
Applications will be accepted from March 3 to March 12 (until 11:59 p.m.).
To apply, communities must submit the required documents to: info@mlsp.gov.ua and copy vidbirgromadi@gmail.com.
Detailed requirements for facilities and the application process are outlined in Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 1049, dated October 3, 2023.
Answers to frequently asked questions about the project can be found on the Ministry’s website.
The project is implemented by the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine as part of the All-Ukrainian mental health program “How are you?”, initiated by First Lady Olena Zelenska.
