The Pension Fund of Ukraine Allocates Over UAH 7 Billion for Social Support of Citizens

11/07/2025

Since July 1, the administration of social payments from the state budget has been transferred to the Pension Fund of Ukraine (PFU).

As of July 9, the PFU has financed payments totaling over UAH 7.18 billion to support 3.2 million Ukrainians.

In particular:

For 1.169 million Ukrainians – over UAH 4.2 billion in various types of state social assistance

Nearly 680,000 recipients of housing subsidies received UAH 303.8 million

Over 1.197 million recipients of utility bill benefits – UAH 863 million

152,000 recipients of monthly one-time insurance payments for workplace accident victims and their families – UAH 1.22 billion

3,500 individuals – for social care and medical services for victims of workplace accidents and occupational diseases – UAH 11 million

Recipients of temporary disability, pregnancy, and childbirth benefits – UAH 543 million

Accordingly, beneficiaries have already started receiving their funds in their bank accounts.

We remind you that, in accordance with Government Resolution No. 695, the Pension Fund calculates the amounts of social assistance monthly by the 8th of each month and determines the required budget funds for these payments. After this:

  • The Pension Fund submits the budget funding request to the Ministry of Social Policy within two days.
  • The Ministry of Social Policy, in turn, forwards the documents to the State Treasury Service.
  • The Treasury transfers the funds to the PFU accounts within a few days for further disbursement to recipients.

It should also be noted that recipients of other state social payments can rest assured – accruals will be made on time in accordance with the relevant resolutions. The Pension Fund is currently taking all necessary measures to ensure timely payments.

Therefore, there is no reason for concern:

  • The state budget has sufficient funds allocated.
  • Information is submitted on time.
  • All agencies are operating within the Government-approved regulations.
