The first families have submitted documents to receive a new payment for children who returned from the temporarily occupied territories

19 children will receive a "resettlement" allowance of 50,000 UAH per child after leaving the occupation. Their parents have already submitted the necessary documents to the State Service of Ukraine for Children’s Affairs.

The "resettlement" allowance was introduced in June of this year on the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy. These funds will help families create proper conditions for the reintegration of children returning after deportation, from temporarily occupied territories, or after forced displacement by the Russians within the TOT.

The payment is part of the comprehensive support provided to the child and their family. Depending on their needs, the child receives social, medical, rehabilitation, and other services within three "packages" — short-term (in the first weeks after return), medium-term (up to six months after return), and long-term (six months or longer).

The condition for receiving the "resettlement" allowance is the existence of an individual return plan. Such plans are developed for each child by civil society and charitable organizations involved in the return process and approved by the State Service for Children’s Affairs.

The 19 children who will be the first to receive the assistance left the TOT with the support of the NGO "Save Ukraine." The submission of documents took place directly at the organization’s Hope and Recovery Center. Here, children and their families receive psychological, legal, and social support after their return.

Funds and organizations can join the effort to bring Ukrainian children back to government-controlled territory. Information on how to do this is available on the website of the State Service for Children’s Affairs.

We continue working to ensure every child’s right to grow up in safety and care
