17/03/2026

On March 16, Anatolii Komirny, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine for Digital Development, Digital Transformation, and Digitalization held a meeting with representatives of the European Commission’s Representation for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (ECHO), led by Katarzyna Marzec, Head of the Humanitarian Response Unit for Ukraine at ECHO headquarters in Brussels, and Marianna Franko, Head of the ECHO Office in Ukraine.

The parties discussed strengthening coordination in the area of support for internally displaced persons and other vulnerable groups. The meeting focused on harmonizing joint approaches to aid delivery, particularly to prevent duplication of efforts and ensure maximum coverage of those in need.

The participants also focused on ways to improve the effectiveness of humanitarian response, data sharing, and the implementation of digital solutions to enhance coordination between government agencies and international partners.

“Our main goal is to improve all existing processes so that every service provides an adequate level of support when needed. At the same time, it is important to ensure access to social services that help people return to a full life, integrate into the labor market, and restore their families’ economic stability,” noted Anatolii Komirny.

Representatives of the European Commission noted a high level of mutual understanding and interest in creating a transparent and effective support system focused on the real needs of the population.
