The relevant document was signed by the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, Denys Uliutin, and the newly appointed United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) Representative to Ukraine, Anne-Claire Dufay Demoulin.
The program provides one-time targeted cash assistance of UAH 6,500 to children with disabilities in Subgroup A, in nine regions of Ukraine: Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Sumy, and Zaporizhzhia.
The assistance may be used to cover any needs related to preparation for the winter period, as determined by the family, and is not limited to specific categories of goods.
It is expected that approximately 9,000 children will receive the assistance as a part of the programme.
The funds will be transferred to the account for the provision of humanitarian and other assistance to the civilian population under martial law in Ukraine, opened by the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine at the National Bank of Ukraine.
Earlier, the Government expanded the scope of the humanitarian account to provide assistance to civilians.
