Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine Denys Uliutin held an online meeting with the Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Republic of Moldova, Natalia Plugaru. This was the first official dialogue following Minister Plugaru’s appointment.
During the meeting, the ministers discussed further strengthening cooperation between Ukraine and Moldova in the area of social policy and agreed to hold the next round of negotiations in Chișinău during the high-level Council of Europe conference, which will take place on 19 March 2026 in Moldova.
“We highly value the partnership between our countries. Your country has shown solidarity with Ukrainians since the first day of the full-scale invasion. This is not only political support but also genuine human compassion. We truly appreciate it and thank you for this support,” Minister Denys Uliutin noted.
The meeting also focused on cooperation in protecting Ukrainian children currently in Moldova, joint work on plans for their safe return, as well as coordinating efforts to support the reintegration of Ukrainians who will be returning after temporary stay in Moldova.
Minister Natalia Plugaru confirmed Moldova’s readiness to deepen cooperation, including joint efforts on the return of Ukrainians and the development of social services.
