The Government and Business Unite to Build a Resilient Social Protection System
26/09/2025
On September 25, Denys Uliutin, Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, met with member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine, led by President Andy Hunder.
“I am grateful for your openness to dialogue and for your support of the social sector. I thank the businesses already engaged in our initiatives, including Resilience Centers and the School Starter Kit program, among others. People are our greatest resource for development, and therefore we must join forces to preserve and strengthen human capital,” noted Minister Uliutin.
The participants discussed the role of business in safeguarding human capital, with a particular focus on employing persons with disabilities and older workers, as well as supporting internally displaced persons in the labor market.
In his remarks, Andy Hunder emphasized that the American Chamber of Commerce in Ukraine holds the leading position among AmChams across Europe, with the strongest team serving its member companies since 1992.
“AmCham member companies are among the largest taxpayers in Ukraine, having already invested more than USD 50 billion while continuing to believe in the country, work, and create jobs. We remain open to fruitful cooperation and the implementation of joint initiatives aimed at shaping favorable business conditions, rebuilding the country, and driving economic growth. Among the Chamber’s priorities in the area of human capital management for 2025 are creating reintegration opportunities for Ukraine’s defenders, retaining talent during wartime, and advancing the principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion,” Hunder stated.
Background:
