Ilona Havronska Visited the Ukrainian Voices RC Сommunity Сenter in Brussels

28/10/2025

During a working visit to Belgium, Ilona Havronska, Deputy Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine for European Integration, visited the Ukrainian Voices RC community center in Brussels.

This center has become an important support hub for Ukrainians who were forced to leave their homes because of the war. It started to work in 2022, when some activists originally from Ukraine united to help fellow citizens who had to leave Ukraine after the beginning of the full-scale invasion — assisting them in finding housing, adapting to new conditions, and maintaining a connection with our culture.

Today, Ukrainian Voices RC offers more than 100 kinds of activities every week: from employment consultations, psychological support, and language courses to a theatre studio and professional space for podcast recording. Every month, over 4000 Ukrainians visit the center.

“I am always inspired by people who are dedicated to their work. The organizers of Ukrainian Voices RC in Brussels are exactly such people. Every time, I realize that Ukrainians have an incredible ability to self-organize, because we know very well: there is strength in unity,” said Ilona Havronska.

The Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity is currently working on the creation of the Unity Network, which will bring together both new and existing Ukrainian community centers across the world.
