Yesterday, on September 13, on the occasion of the Day of Physical Culture and Sports, the "Titans.UA" All-Ukrainian veterans’ sports competition took place in Lviv. Denys Uliutin, the Minister of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine, took part in the opening ceremony.
"These competitions are not just about sports. They are about resilience, self-belief and strength that overcomes any obstacles. Each participant is an example for the entire country," emphasized Denys Uliutin.
In 2024, the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration launched the "Titans.UA" project to support socialization and adaptation of war veterans to civilian life.
"Launched in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the project is expanding to cover new areas. I sincerely thank the President for supporting this initiative, the leaders of relevant ministries, partners and my colleague, the Head of Lviv Regional State Administration," said Serhii Lysak, the Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration.
The competitions brought together veterans from across Ukraine and demonstrated that sports endurance and team spirit really contribute to recovery. Olympians and Paralympians supported all participants.
During his visit to the Lviv region, Denys Uliutin also visited rehabilitation and prosthetic institutions – the UNBROKEN Centre, “Halychyna” and Superhumans Centre.
It should be recalled that the interdepartmental working group on prosthetics reform was established at the initiative of the Ministry of Social Policy, Family and Unity of Ukraine. By October 2025, the group must present a roadmap with quality criteria for prosthetics.
